Privacy Policy

Welcome to CodePixel Solutions Private Limited Your privacy is crucial to us, and we're committed to safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our mobile applications.

Information Collection

We may gather personal details like your name, email, phone number, and other contact information. Additionally, technical data about your device (such as operating system, device model, IP address, and mobile network information) and usage patterns within our applications may be collected.

How We Use Your Information

Your personal information aids us in enhancing our services and applications. We might also use it to communicate with you regarding our services, respond to inquiries, and occasionally send marketing communications about our products and services.

Desktop Application (Windows and macOS)

BankStmt Desktop is an on-premise application for Windows and macOS. This section explains how it handles your data and applies in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy.

Your statements stay on your computer. OCR, table detection and transaction extraction run locally on your machine, and the converted output is saved to a location you choose. The desktop application does not upload your bank statements, the documents you open, or the extracted transaction data to BankStmtConverter or to any third party for processing. Converting a statement does not require an internet connection.

An internet connection is used only for the following, and only the data listed is sent to us:

  1. Requesting an installer: your email address, the platform you selected (Windows or macOS), your IP address and your browser user agent, so we can email you the download link and protect the download from abuse.
  2. Starting a free trial: your email address and a one-time verification code, plus a device identifier generated by the application and your computer's name. We use these to confirm the email address, to record when the trial starts and expires, and to enforce one trial per email address and per computer.
  3. Activating and validating a license: your license key, the same device identifier and computer name, and the time of the last activation check. We use these to confirm your license is valid and to enforce the number of computers your license covers.
  4. Purchasing a license: handled by Paddle as described under Payments below. We do not receive or store your card or bank details.
  5. Checking for and downloading updates: your license key and application version, so we can confirm your update entitlement and serve the correct installer.

The device identifier is an opaque value used solely for licensing and trial enforcement. It is not used for advertising, profiling or tracking you across websites, and we do not use it to read any other information from your computer. The desktop application does not include the advertising or remarketing technologies described elsewhere in this policy.

Any files, converted results, logs and settings created by the desktop application are stored on your own computer and are under your control. You can delete them at any time by removing the files and uninstalling the application. Licensing and trial records described above are retained by us for as long as needed to support your license, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and prevent abuse. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of those records, contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

Use of Google Workspace APIs
