The application includes the OCR and table extraction components. It reads the statement and writes the exported files without sending the statement to BankStmt Converter.
Read and detect tables
Built-in OCR reads statement text while local table detection identifies transaction tables and their structure.
Build transaction rows
The app groups detected cells into dates, descriptions, debits, credits and balances.
Write the export
The app saves Excel output to your chosen folder and can generate Xero- or QuickBooks-ready CSV files.
What uses the internet?
Downloading the installer and activating the license require an internet connection. Converting a statement does not send the statement to BankStmt Converter.

Do my bank statements leave my computer?+
No. The desktop app runs OCR and table detection on your computer and saves the result there. It does not upload the statement to BankStmt Converter for extraction.
Do I need to install anything else?+
No. Everything needed to read statements and find transaction tables is included with the installer.
Does conversion need an internet connection?+
Internet access is required to download the installer and activate the license. Statement conversion runs on the computer, and the statement is not uploaded for processing.
What can I export?+
The app writes transactions to an Excel workbook and can generate CSV files for Xero and QuickBooks. Before exporting a CSV, you can review the column mapping, date format and debit or credit direction.
How many computers can I activate?+
The standard one-time desktop license activates one computer. Contact us if your team needs multiple seats or a managed rollout.
How long is the free trial?+
