BankStmt Desktop — feature guide#
One page per feature, each with focused screenshots of the controls it describes.
Start with the user guide if you have not converted a statement before; it walks the whole path once, end to end. These pages go deeper on one screen at a time.
| Page | Covers |
|---|---|
| Convert statements | Adding files, dropping archives, the processing queue, progress, errors, retry |
| Statements library | The output folder as a list: search, filters, review badges, row actions, delete |
| Workbook editor | Correcting extracted cells, review flags, row/column commands, undo, find and replace, add-year |
| Accounting export | Xero CSV, QuickBooks CSV, OFX — options, totals check, column mapping, excluded rows, preview |
| Merge and batch export | Combining workbooks and exporting many statements in one pass |
| Settings | Output folder, date format, notifications, theme, language, reset |
| License and trial | Trial activation, license keys, recovering a purchase, deactivation |
| About and updates | Version, links, support, checking for updates |
| Troubleshooting | What to do when a conversion, an export, or the engine does not behave |
The sample statement#
Every screenshot in this guide shows the same fictional statement, so the numbers stay consistent from the queue through to the exported CSV: Acme Community Bank, Business Checking 4821, June 2026.
It is a made-up document. There is no Acme Community Bank, and no name, address, account number, or transaction on it belongs to anyone. See the example folder for the PDF, a PNG of the same page, and a plain-text transcription you can check the extraction against.
Twelve transactions, four deposits totalling 4,507.00, eight withdrawals totalling 4,283.64, and a closing balance of 12,703.36. Those three numbers are what the export page checks its own arithmetic against.
Two things this guide will not tell you#
That the extraction is correct. It is an estimate produced by a model reading a page. Compare amounts, signs, dates, and totals with the original statement before the data reaches bookkeeping, tax, payments, or reconciliation.
That your bank looks like the sample. Layouts differ enormously. The controls in this guide are the same everywhere; which columns get detected, and how cleanly, is not.
